NWRA Field (Shipboard) Observations in the Indian Ocean
NWRA has been participating in international Indian Ocean Field Campaigns, deploying an aerosol/radiation instrument on board research ships. Field measurements were taken to complement observations of routine and dedicated oceanographic, meteorological and air-sea-interaction measurements (CTD, radiosondes, routine ship measurements, biological-productivity data, chl-a). Data from annual spring cruises since 2011, run by the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology (SCSIO), Chinese Academy of Sciences, to observe monsoon conditions and their impact, are available here.
